K-Tuned H/F Series Shifter Cable/Bracket

K-Tuned H/F Series Shifter Cable/Bracket

K-TUNED

  • $69.99

Application: Cable Bracket will fit all 1992 to 2001 H and F-Series transmissions. Also note that these kits are intended for use with a K-Series shifter on H or F engine swaps in the EG/DC2 and EK chassis.

NOTE: To install the extended rod end a _ x 28 die is needed. You will only need this die if you are threading your shift cable yourself.

We have been seeing a growing following of people using OEM K-Series shifters and cables with their H-Series engine swap in the EG/DC2 and EK chassis. I have to say it was pretty hard for us to look at some of these setups with one cable long enough to fit under the car while the second cable ended up too short and had to be run through the interior of the car in order to reach the transmission. We instantly thought that the setup needed some help, so we decided to design something that properly fits this shifter and engine swap application.

K-Tuned H-Series Shifter Kits will be available in three kits. First will be the most basic kit which includes our 6061 Billet Cable Bracket with the extended rod end and all required hardware. The second kit will be the bracket and a set of new modified OEM-Spec cables. Last the ultimate H-Series shift package will include the bracket with a set of new modified Race-Spec cables. As for the shifter, our kit will work with our award winning Billet RSX Shifter, our No-Cut K-Swap Shifter and even the plastic OEM shifter if you are on a budget.

All kits include a billet bracket that adapts the shift cables to the transmission with the proper approach angles leading to the shift selector. These angles are critical to fitment and smooth cable operation. To solve the length problem we made an extended billet rod end that adds approx. 2î to the cable. This extension is installed by simply cutting off the existing rod end on the short cable and using a die to tap a thread on it. Once threaded, the new extended rod end is put on with jam nut to lock it in place. The added length now allows both cables to run below the car side by side. If you do not have cables for your setup already, we have kits available with a set of our OEM or Race Spec Cables that are already modified for H-Series shifting. This will also be helpful for customers who are not as confident doing the cable modification themselves.
