This wasn’t the first time we’d designed a shifter assembly, so there were already a lot of features we knew we wanted to include in this unit. Among those features was an unparalleled level of adjustability, so that each driver could tweak every aspect of the shifter to suit their own preference. Ultimately, what we developed was a durable, versatile short shifter that is simple enough to allow an affordable price, so you can have your race car without eating ramen noodles for a month.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shifter’s frame is constructed from TIG welded, powder coated, 1000 Series steel. The Dust-Gold anodized upper and lower rocker assemblies are now made of single pieces of Aerospace aluminum and feature custom sealed ball bearings to reduce friction. The new V2 shifter is 60% smoother than the original version requiring much less physical effort to row through gears all while being significantly lighter. Shift throw adjustment is achieved using two threaded cable attachment pins, meaning fine tweaks can be made to shift throw, allowing you to dial in the exact throw that suits your shifting style. Each attachment pin features a wear-resistant Delrin pivot cap for sturdy, quiet operation. Our hope was to provide something that could improve upon the performance and appearance of competing cold air intakes...and the finished product is just that. By using silicone, we were able to create an intake that actually insulates the air going into the engine. What many people don't consider is that since aluminum is such a fantastic thermal conductor (hence why it is used in radiators), an aluminum cold air intake will actually absorb heat given off by the radiator. This increases the intake air temperature while decreasing the motor's performance. The silicone counteracts this by acting as a thermal barrier (much like header wrap)...this leads to lower intake air temps and a denser intake charge. Another benefit of the silicone construction is that there is no need for a coupler at the throttle body. The intake connects to the throttle body with just a single t-bolt clamp, meaningless turbulence as air enters the intake manifold.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA less noticeable but very important feature of this intake is that it works with RBC, RRC, and PRB intake manifolds. Most competing k-swap intakes work with either the PRB intake manifold or the RBC\/RRC intake manifolds, but not both. We took the extra time to create an intake that would work with all 3! The fast ramp rate of aftermarket cams is the main cause of this. Unfortunately, without tearing the motor down after every use, it's almost impossible to detect a worn tensioner before it's too late. While installing a stiffer spring in an OEM tensioner, like other companies do, will slow down the wear of an OEM style tensioner, it will not eliminate it. The use of a stiffer spring will also cause the timing chain to stretch faster. For this reason, we designed our chain tensioner from scratch, ensuring it could take the abuse aftermarket cams cause without causing faster than normal stretching of the chain.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Hybrid Racing Chain Tensioner is designed to be both stronger and more durable than the OEM Honda chain tensioner found on K Series motors. The dual-ratchet design features hardened tool steel teeth that mesh with a heat treated chromoly piston. The teeth are crafted from the same material used for most the ratchets in high-end impact wrenches.
